This week I’d like to introduce to you Saraphir Qaa-Rishi, a Danish designer who has been living in the United Kingdom for the past 14 years. She taught herself to crochet in 2013 after following three rounds of a Japanese pattern and “winging the rest”. And now, after 2 years of crocheting, she’s decided to focus on designing. Saraphir only uses natural fibers trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible. She also loves to support small and local yarn companies whenever she can.
Saraphir is just an overall crafty person! Not only does she crochet, she knits, weaves, makes cards from her photographs AND this is all in her spare time! She’s a dance instructor by day. As you can see she is a very interesting person and a busy one at that! Please stop by her blog and learn more about her. You will find many patterns there. Check out my favorite, the Chunky Herringmesh Cowl!
Now, here’s the square description and link for week 6.
We know you’re going to love the simple beauty of Sapphire Dream. It’s a fun combination of sc, hdc and dc stitches with an extra special pop created by two rounds of dc clusters. The clusters are created by crocheting 3 dc together – a very fun technique!

We are so lucky to have had her find the time to design this square! It’s a beauty and I know you will love making it as much as I did!
Don’t forget to post your progress pictures! I can wait to see your work!
Enjoy!!
