Week 17 – Marigold

Week 17, WOW!!!  Where has the time gone!  We are loving all the photos of your progress!  The squares are amazing!

The featured designer this week is Polly Plum. I’m sure you recognize her name from Every Trick on the Hook.

Polly is a “long time crocheter, art school dropout…… caretaker of two Australian Cattle dogs and one grown mountain man.” Click here to read more about Polly: http://everytrickonthehook.com/?s=Along+came+Polly

She’s has many, many patterns on her blog. The Love Struck Collection is a very versatile group of patterns. They are written to be 9″ squares, but have options to make them 12″. The Fools in Love series is inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice and has 9, 6″ squares. She also has a series of 12″ blocks that include the ever popular Blizzard Warning.

She also has a cowl pattern, mandala/potholder pattern….the list goes on and on. BUT…..the most interesting thing I’ve found on her blog (and I hate not knowing, but am TOTALLY EXCITED ABOUT) is her post on July 7th! She’s got something up her sleeve …. she says (on Instagram) “it’s not like anything I’ve ever done before, but at the same time it’s exactly like something I’ve done before.” We NEED to keep checking back to see what she is working on! It can’t come quick enough, that’s for sure.

To learn more about Polly Plum, visit her at Every Trick on the Hook, her YouTube channel, Ravelry, Instagram and of course Facebook!

Below you will find the description and pattern link for week 17.

If you like V’s and Shells, you’re going to love this square. Alternating rounds of these stitch combinations create a dramatic effect, creating a stunning design.

I loved making her square. I made mine all one color and it came out beautifully.

Please post your progress pictures! I can wait to see your work!
