Welcome to week 22 of Friends Around the World CAL!!! We apologize for the delay in getting the pattern out to you but promise that it was definitely worth the wait!
This week our featured designer is Betty ten Hove. She’s an admin here in our group and one of my favorite Dutchies! Betty designed this square for our Anniversary CAL with a lot love and creativity and the result is just lovely!
Betty and became friends way back when the group had only a handful of members. Not sure how she found us, but I’m sure glad she did!!! Betty is a wife, a mom, a grandma, a singer/performer and a lover of animals! She used to breed birds too! She’s just down to one now and boy is he a character. He loooooves to help her crochet! Betty loves Mexican music and hopes to learn Spanish one day. In the mean time she crochets, tests pattern and designs crochet projects. One of my favorites is her jute shopping bag! Hopefully one day you will see it as a CAL!

You won’t be surprised that “Surprise” is as beautiful as it is. The combination of stitches is exquisite and the whole square is set off perfectly by the back post tc border. Amazing design!
Our Admin, Margaret, tested this square in several colors. I’m sure you’ll agree that it will be gorgeous in one, two or many colors!

Is there a way I may be able to find weeks 1-21 as I just happened upon this square. I absolutely love it and would love to try my hand at it.
