I am swirling with excitement over this new CAL that will begin on September 14th! Stacking Whirls uses the Tunisian crochet technique to create a spectacular design. Marjolein Kooiman, of Muis Creations, is an expert in Tunisian Crochet and will guide you through this wonderful pattern.
Marjolein (aka Muis) began her crochet journey as a child…first learning to knit and then switching to crochet after a whiplash injury. Once she was introduced to Tunisian crochet, she was hooked! Her first CAL, The Starblanket of Mouse, was a huge success as was Discover the Seasons, and her third, Shawl of Muis. Her next CAL is sure to create a SWIRL!
Stacking Whirls is an intermediate level pattern and does require that you know the basics of Tunisian crochet. It’s a 9 week long CAL and will be available in English and Dutch. Marjolein used Special DK by Styectaft 295m/322yds per 100g; 5 skeins of Black and 1 skein of 7 different colors. You will also need stitch markers, needle, scissors, and of course a Tunisian hook, 5.0/5.5/6.0 (depending on your tension). The finished size is143.5cm x 124,5cm/56.5 inches x 49 inches. Gauge, 30 rows of 22 stitches = 10cmx10cm.
