For many of us, Members and Admins, our group has established and strengthened new friendships from around the world, created so many memories and great times, and has been our go to place for companionship and support. Because of these things and so many more, the Admins from our group wanted to do something special for our members. We wanted to show our appreciation for your participation in our group, for supporting each other and maintaining such a great atmosphere for all. Laurene, Silvana, and Jo have designed special Christmas items that will share part of their holiday joy and traditions with you.
So here’s what we have been working on behind the scenes these past few days, furiously pecking out patterns, testing, and crocheting at lightening speed, to bring you a multi day ……. CAL for the Holidays, completely designed by Admin of the CAL – Crochet Along Group. We are calling it CAL-a-thon! It will run from Sunday through Saturday, with several blog posts per day, multiple small projects each day. You can pick and choose which you make, which you don’t, or if you do them all!!!
We can’t tell you exactly what the pieces are…. it’s a surprise! Shhhhhhhhh…… I will give you a few hints though. You can decorate your tree, make a wreath for your door, or make a garland to hang on the mantel!!! Each piece that you make will create another portion of your completed project, and the more you make, the more fun it becomes.
The actual supply list is a little longer than you’re used to, but is full of options and won’t break the bank either. It’s totally up to you on what you choose to use. Maybe you want to wait until the day the pattern comes out, just for an excuse to run to Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Joann’s, AC Moore or your local craft/hobby store. The yarn needed is actually not that large in quantity, and if you have a stash, you most likely have it already.
