Can you believe we’re just about half way through the Friends Around the World 3 CAL?For week 16, we’re traveling Stateside for a visit with Bonnie Barker in Gaithersburg, Maryland just north of Washington DC. Bonnie, a devout hockey fan, was quick to tell us that she is proud to be from the same area as the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions, the Washington Capitals.
Bonnie is no stranger to the Friends Around the World CAL. We were honored to have her record some of the earlier squares of the CAL and introduced you to her in week 4. For more about Bonnie, see our earlier post here.

This week’s square, Cables & Columns, is a snapshot of what Bonnie loves best about CABLES! Bonnie is well known for her cable designs so be sure to checkout her website Bonnie Bay Crochet for links to her books and patterns. She hopes that by making this square that you discover how easy and fun these can be to crochet! This weeks video also includes a tutorial for the extra base rounds for joining the squares.
