This week (week 20 of the Friends Around the Workd 3 2018 CAL) we’re in the Czech Republic with the incredibly talented Tatsiana of Lilla Bjorn Crochet. Tatsiana tells us that she doesn’t have many places she visits there as she lives the isolated life of a crochet designer. But there is one place that has become very special to her. For years visited Malmö (Sweden) at the end of the summer or early autumn. And like any good crochet designer she would have her hook and yarn with her. Tatsiana tells us she would simply “sit by the sea, with my crochet. For hours. Just watching the waves. And sunsets.”
Tatsiana has long had a passion for crochet and knitting but she is also an accomplished opera singer and magazine editor. She loves to create beautiful things for the home as well as garments. Be sure to visit her website and check out her beautiful Huldra sweater.
Tatsiana spends long hours learning new techniques, combining colors and watching where the whole process takes her. She also enjoys talking about crochet and tells us she can do that for hours!
So let’s talk about this weeks square, Water Lilly. Like all of Tatsiana’s patterns, Water Lilly is so beautifully designed. Her designs are uniquely her own and you will enjoy working through the techniques to create this beauty.

Important Additional Pattern Info
Don’t forget you will need to add an extra three rounds to your square to achieve the final 48 st/side count which is necessary for joining. You can find the instructions for all squares here. Translations for these additional rounds can be found here. The extra rounds will vary slightly from week to week because the squares vary in ending stitch counts so be sure to follow the directions for each square.
