Baby Henry’s Designer Heirloom CAL – Week 1

doo doo doo doo doo doo…. Baby HENRY!!! 🦈 🦈 🦈

And just how many of you have spent the last 2 weeks singing Baby Henry instead of Baby Shark?!?!? Well the wait is over and the date is finally here. The Baby Henry fever from awaiting this CAL, brought to us by Jessica Wifall, has truly been contagious. Members have worked themselves into a frenzy 🦈 trying to get their colors selected, their yarn ordered, and some have even grabbed those color pencils and whipped up 19 different coloring sheets trying to find the journey that calls to them specifically. Regardless of which journey you choose, Henry’s Original, or Henry’s Voyage, we can’t wait to see these creations come to life! If you are a #hashtagger be sure to use the official tag…. #babyhenrysdesignerheirloom this way everyone following this CAL can see your progress and you can see theirs as well, and Jessica can see everyone’s! The #hashtag can be used on Instagram AND in your Facebook posts (just be sure to spell it correctly 😂)

The top of your “long stitch” should Not be the same height as the top of the single crochet next to it, without the long stitch pulling your work. You may also need to extend your stitch (ex: FPdtr instead of FPtr) if you find your stitches are not the same height consistently. Your work should lay flat. If it is curling, then you are pulling too tightly. (There will be a slight “cupping” to the final 3 rounds of all mandalas – full or partial)***

  1. The Baby Henry pattern itself is free and available in the weekly posts in our blog. The 2 paid patterns are available from the original designers as well as the free pattern from that designer – as all are required to create this design

  2. All inform can be found at the following link – scroll to the link “Introduction” in the list of blog articles provided and you should be able to find everything you need.

  3. Where can I get the written pattern for Baby Henrys afghan? I’m a beginner and want to challenge myself in completing this afghan.
