Silvana has been crocheting since she was 8 years old, taught by her very crafty mother. She’s designed many things over the years for her children and grandsons. In recent years she’s tried her hand at designing! She’s designed squares for our anniversary CAL called a Friends Around the World (FATW), a wearable called MelRose Cowl named after her daughter and now an afghan. As you can see by the pictures, it is ABSOLUTELY beautiful!
As with all of Silvana’s patterns, she grabs her hook and yarn of choice and begins, without a plan. And lucky for us, something beautiful and creative is always the result. This time, once she’d finished the Afghan and was laying it out for a photo shoot, something amazing Was revealed in the Afghan AND in Nature itself! A BUTTERFLY! Not only did one land on a nearby butterfly bush but the Afghan itself looks like a butterfly when folded a certain way. The special visitor and the happy accident with the Afghan was such a gift. Butterflies have a very special place in Silvana’s heart and life.❤️

You can learn more about Silvana in her bio listed below and her other patterns, Butterfly Kisses , a FATW3 square, The MelRose Cowl and her 2 FATW5 squares Nacatole and Seacrest.
