Lazy Cables Pocket Shawl CAL – Part 1

Here is the important information for this CAL – in case you missed the first post…..

The Lazy Cables Pocket Shawl CAL pattern is available in 2 sizes:

  • gauge = 12dc x 6 rows ~ 4″x4″ (10cm x 10cm)
  • Small – 64″ (163cm) long by 17″ (43cm) wide
  • Large – 76″ (193cm) long by 17″ (43cm) wide
  • This shawl also has instructions on how to make it wider if desired


Suggested yarn: Lion Brand Scarfie (#5 Taupe and Cream / Taupe and Black were used for shawls photographed for pattern)

Size 5 – Bulky Yarn:

  • 1300 yards / 1189 meters yarn
  • I-9 or 5.5mm hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers

Stitches Used – US Terms:

  • sc – single crochet
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • fpdc – front post double crochet
  • fptr – front post triple crochet
  • bpdc – back post double crochet
  • bptr – back post triple crochet
  • sp – space
  • st/s – stitch/stitches
  • sk – skip
  • blo – back loop only
  • cst/s – cable pattern st/sts
