
Mimosa was a stunning square with so much texture and elegance. We ended with 42 stitches per side, and you should have this docomment already….. but here it is again….. just in case. And of course – for those of you who like to use on screen instructions….. just scroll down a bit!

US TERMS 3 Extra Rounds for squares ending with 42sts per side plus ch1, ch2 or ch3 in each corner
US Stitch Abbreviations
- sc – single crochet
- ch-sp – chain space
- ch – chain
- slst – slip stitch
- st/sts – stitch/stitches
NOTES:
❖ if you will be using the same color for all 3 rounds you may slip stitch into the ch-sp and follow the instructions for the remainder of the round starting with “ch1”.
❖ you may also use a Standing Single Crochet (hdc, dc) to start your round instead of the “ch1, sc”.
❖ you may adjust the length of your stitches to half double crochet (hdc) or double crochet (dc) instead of the single crochet (sc) as stated in the instructions to achieve the same size in all squares.
Round 1: Join in any corner ch-sp, ch1, *(sc, ch2, sc) in corner ch-sp, sc in next 42 sts* 4 times, slst to 1st sc, fasten off and weave in ends. (44 sts, ch2) per side
Round 2: Join in any corner ch-sp, ch1, *(sc, ch2, sc) in corner ch-sp, sc in next 44 sts* 4 times, slst to 1st sc, fasten off and weave in ends. (46 sts, ch2) per side
Round 3: Join in any corner ch-sp, ch1, *(sc, ch2, sc) in corner ch-sp, sc in next 46 sts* 4 times, slst to 1st sc, fasten off and weave in ends. (48 sts, ch2) per side
