Today we have the final part of the VIRSA – The Heritage CAL with the final border. This border has 2 options available. The first has a very small section of Tunisian crochet forming the triangles, and the second has these same triangles made with standard crochet stitches. If you have not ever crocheted Tunisian work before….. you may still want to give this a try on your border. There is a photo tutorial included and it is a very small section – thus not requiring a special hook! So maybe, just maybe….. you can add the Tunisian crochet to your skills learned in this cal!!!! For those of us not that adventurous….. there is the option to use standard crochet stitches and end with the same effect and look as the original Tunisian border sections.
The Ralli Work Border is created to emulate the border of traditional Pakistani bedspreads and quilts. These traditional designs are not written patterns, but handed down from one generation to the next. So having this design in a written pattern with photo tutorials is truly a special treat!
