Strip 4 is Fair Isle Mosaic by Luz Higdon of Crochet Société. It is a quick-to-memorize pattern as you work each row, works beautifully and looks terrific! While it does have more rows than other strips, it is well worth it. Using 3 colors with this one really enhances the look.
Luz is a very talented designer from Tennessee, USA, with an impressive portfolio of patterns. If you follow her on any of her social media you can see all of her beautiful works. She is on Ravelry, Etsy and Facebook. Be sure to check out her interview by her local news station, WVLT TV Knoxville. You get to see her in action, and get a feel of her love and passion for the craft. In addition to learning about her in the interview, you can also see what she says about herself below that. Luz truly is an inspiration to all of us crafters.
“Hello, my name is Luz Higdon, owner of Crochet Société! From humble beginnings, my love of crochet spans 27 years, and is inspired by my Abuela’s love of knitting. I became enthralled in understanding how she could so easily take string in her hands, and masterfully create beautiful fabrics! Having migrated from Puerto Rico to the mainland at the age of five, I found comfort in anything that reminded me of home. Fiber arts has served as a bridge for self-expression, and allowed me to give homage to my roots. My patterns reflect my love of island life with a hint of deep-seated, Southern traditions. I hope you’ll find my passion will empower you to create distinctive fabrics – “with love in every stitch.”
Time to Ooh and Ahh over the Maker versions. I really think this should have been called Galaxy theme because the patterns are all out of this world!
