We begin a new week with this awesome pattern from Saleha Waseem of Crochet Karma, a very talented lady that loves to create beauty. She has certainly achieved it with this Strip 7, Yildiz the star motif, and like her other patterns it has special significance. You will be able to read about it in the pattern file itself. This is now the second strip that Saleha has designed for our FATW6 CAL. The first one was Amulet. Saleha Waseem is from Pakistan, and was happy to share some beautiful sights and information about where she lives. The photos are so gorgeous, it is easy to see how one can get so much inspiration from there. Lots of beauty all around. Truly awe inspiring.
“Multan in Punjab province of Pakistan is one of the oldest cities in South Asia, It was firstly ruled by Katoch Rajputs. though its exact age has yet to be determined. It has seen a lot of warfare because of its location on a major invasion route between South and Central Asia. It is believed to have been the Malli capital that was conquered by Alexander the Great in 326 BCE as part of the Mallian Campaign. Multan was one of the most important trading centres of medieval Islamic India and attracted a multitude of Sufi mystics in the 11th and 12th centuries, earning the name of “City of Saints”. This city, along with the nearby city of Uch, is renowned for its large number of Sufi shrines dating from that era.”

Look at these beautiful Maker strips and blankets. It looks great in every color.

As we are at the half-way point with this 7th strip, we will also share the border pattern at this time. We realize that 14 strips will make a big blanket, gorgeous, but big. Not everyone wants or needs that particular size. You can choose to make 2 blankets out of these 14, with 7 and 7, or you can always choose which ones you want for yours and stop at your desired size. Feel free to end your blanket with this beautiful border at your convenience. This is your adventure!
The Zig Zag border from Moira Douglas was initially published along with her first CAL with us, the beautiful Mosaic Sampler. Since then, Moira has offered it to us for our FATW6 CAL, and we have used it already with the Ocean theme. If you have already worked it in your Ocean blanket, you will be an expert at it now. If you have not, it really is easy to follow, looks great, and has videos included. You can also do it without the zig zag should you prefer a simpler look. Both options are there. This is what it looks like with the zig zag.

You will find the free pattern here, at the Daisyknots site.
