We made it! This is the last strip for the Geometric Theme. I must admit I am so impressed by all who have been with us this far. It is quite an accomplishment! The blankets we are seeing are all absolutely gorgeous and we hope you are very proud of them. See that, it was easier than it looked, and probably more beautiful than photographs show. Thank you to all of our fantastic designers, our talented and patient Makers and all who are participating in this CAL.
Today Eastern Scrolls is released as the final strip, and link to border by daisyknots is also included after the Maker photos. Strip 14 is Eastern Scrolls by Debra Friedenberg, of SonomaFiberArts. It is a pretty and elegant pattern. Debra resides in both California and Panama. Read her bio below to find out more about her. Do check out her “store” as there are some really great patterns there.
“I was taught to crochet by my grandmother when I was about 10 years old. I guess crochet is in my family DNA, as she was taught by her mother, and I still can remember watching my great-grandmother sitting on her porch working on intricate doily and tablecloth designs well into her late 80’s. I completed my first granny square afghan when I about 12. I have crocheted off and on ever since, and about 3 years ago, I discovered mosaic crochet. I absolutely loved how by just using a few simple stitches, you could create intricate designs and patterns. I was immediately addicted and started designing my own overlay mosaic patterns about 18 months ago. I now have an Etsy shop where I sell my designs, and can have a look at what I do here:

I am a long-time resident of the Northern California wine country, and now split my time between California and the highlands of Panama, about 35 miles from the Costa Rica border, where we have a home in the beautiful town of Boquete.
Thank you for participating in the 6th Friends Around the World CAL. I hope that you enjoy my pattern, and I am sure that your finished piece will be awesome!! I am so inspired by everyone’s work and I am thrilled to be included in this project.
Happy Hooking!
