We first worked with Lucille when we hosted her Jeans Flower Stole CAL.
She is an energetic crocheter from Italy, who when young, was told she was not capable of crocheting. Well, by the look of all her beautiful works now, that certainly was not the case. Just goes to show what determination can accomplish. Her projects, creativity and enthusiasm for the craft are amazing. Lucilla’s goal is to spread the love of crocheting to all, and this beautiful shawl pattern will certainly make that goal a success.
Lucille’s style can best be described as happy! Her designs are loaded with color and flowers. When I first saw Lucilla’s Rainbow Among the Clouds, I was immediately taken to spring time in my garden. Now, I realize that it’s actually November and the snow is falling as I write this, but it reminds me of this quote. And couldn’t we all use a few roses in December!!! (Think Christmas/Hanukkah gifts!)
And now, on to the a Rainbow Among the Clouds Stole! Scroll down to view or download the pattern. But you’ll want to linger awhile before you do and take in the beautiful shawls made by our testers! You’ll find an English (US) version of the pattern as well as Italian. Remember the patterns will only be available for free for 7 days.
Here are some photos and comments from our testers.
Silvana said, “this is a beautiful and fancy shawl and provides a bit of glamour when wearing it. The pattern has some different sections but if you follow it step by step you should be fine. The end result is worth it.”

Important note! There is a very small error in the pattern for the flower. Rather than chain 36, only make 35 chains. We will upload a corrected pattern as soon as it’s available.
