Our next scarf in the Designers Scarf Challenge is the Granny Scarf by Tracey Driver of Bluebird and Daisy and is available on Sunday, November 27th. Tracey started as a quilter and maker/designer of patchwork quilts when she was 13 years old. This took her to national competitions, a few published patterns and to teaching children how to sew and make textile creations. She also learned to knit from her grandmother. In 2014 there were new owners of the wool shop and the wonder of the hook got me curious about crochet. In February 2015, she started with a crochet wave blanket from Attic 24, Her second blanket was Sophie’s Universe, which she considers an absolute baptism of fire. Needless to say it got her to learn all the basic stitches and then some!
Tracey published her first Crochet Along in 20156 and has since had six crochet alongs as well as well as numerous individual patterns. She is also a knitwear designer, tech editor and pattern writer working with local woollen mills in Devon.
Living in Mid-Devon She is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is inspired by the colors of nature. She strongly believes that anyone can make anything they wish to and that difficulty is simply inthe mind.
