Cosy Cubes Scarf by Dawn Spence

We are so happy to announce the next pattern in CAL – Crochet A Long’s Design-a-Scarf Challenge CAL.

Today we are featuring the Cosy Cubes Scarf designed by Dawn Spence. It’s made using the overlay crochet technique and has a geometric feel.

This is a very versatile pattern! As you can see you can make a beautiful scarf, but…..look below, you can make a placemat or even a table runner!!! In addition to working the pattern flat, the pattern can be worked in the round to create a cowl! The instructions on how to do this are listed in the pattern! And maybe, just maybe with a little crochet know-how😉, lol, you can even create a matching hat!

Below you will find the tester pictures. Hopefully they will give you some color inspiration for your own scarf!

Dawn has written us a little bio so that we can get to know her a little better. :

“Hi, I’m Dawn. My friends would describe me as a slightly off centre, (polite for weird), obsessed cat lady behind Amurusko Crochet. I learned to crochet a little over 5 years ago, watching YouTube videos, needing to find a way to fill my days after developing a long term illness which limits me physically. Not long after my adventures with crochet began, I discovered mosaic and fell in love. I live with my wonderful husband, Chris, who is my rock, my Norwegian Forest Cats and my 2 crazy labradors. My designing journey started only a short time ago, which I wouldn’t have achieved without 2 very good friends, Kaz Visocchi and Jayne Kneale, who also tested the scarf pattern. Crochet has brought many new friends into my life, I love how the crochet craft brings people together, but these 2 lovely ladies I will always treasure. My designs usually come to me while I am asleep, my friends would say wine fuelled dreams, with a need to translate that onto paper, and to share what goes on in my head with the happy hooking world. This is my scarf, I hope you enjoy making it and that my dreams keep you warm ❤”

You can find the Cosy Cubes pattern below, for 7 days, then it will be available on Ravelry.

Happy crocheting,

Laurene and Margaret❤️
