As the snow begins to fall (again), I’m going to grab my hook and a cup of tea and settle myself down to make the next scarf in our Design A Scarf series. Winta Scarf by Kavita Goel is just enough scarf to warm your neck warm while keeping you trendy! It’s perfect for running errands or a trip to the mall!
Winta is an Intermediate level scarf that uses some fun stitch combinations such as the star stitch. It’s best worked up in a lighter weight yarn. Kavita has included a video tutorial link for completing this stitch. This scarf is also quick to work up if you need a last minute gift!
Kavita considers herself a half-nomad crocheter and an intrepid traveler. Sipping tea and crocheting in front of a fireplace while snow falls outside on mountains, is her perfect state of being. Inspired by nature and silhouettes, she is a ‘recovering creative’. After leaving her fast paced city job, she looked forward to reinventing herself. Kavita rediscovered crochet and the rest is history.
You can find Kavitas designs on Ravelry, Etsy and Lovecrafts. Also be sure to follow her on Facebook and Instagram.
We’re anxious to see your scarves. Be sure to post them on our Facebook group page!
Happy crocheting!
